Hi Bob and Gavin,

Can I ask where we are on the 4-Phase transition plan at http://esgf.org/wiki/ESGF_Transition and where you expect to be at your next milestone which I believe is the end of this month.  My impression is that we are somewhere in Phase 2 or 3

In particular can you clarify these things:

1. Phase 4: New P2P installations are frozen.  Do we know which version of the installer this will be yet?
2. Phase 4: cutover scan.  I'm concerned that this might miss some THREDDS catalogs.  Can I confirm you will check with datanodes that all THREDDS catalogs have been successfully scanned
3. Phase 4: Publication to existing gateways is frozen.  Does this mean that publication to Gateways should end at the beginning of Phase 4 and Gateways be turned off at the end of Phase 4?  Will publication to P2P continue during this period?  Phase 4, final bullet implies there will be no new publications to either system during Phase 4

We are still publishing data on a daily basis so we need to understand the implications of any publication freeze.
