[Go-essp-tech] [ESGF-Search] Opensearch and XML representation of a search query

Go-essp-tech folks,

Just FYI, in the NOAA Integrated Ocean Observing System Modeling
Testbed, we are harvesting ncISO metadata from THREDDS data servers
with GI-CAT <http://zeus.pin.unifi.it/cgi-bin/twiki/view/GIcat/GIcatDocumentation>
and then query GI-CAT's metadata database using both OpenSearch and
CSW. For example Matlab folks use a function called opensearch.m to
perform a geospatial, temporal and free-text search, returning OPeNDAP
URLS that they can then start processing.
