HI Gavin, 
We hope Charlotte answered some of your questions, but know that she didn't address them all.  Specifically, we would still like to address the question of whether we can create a Forcing facet on the search so you can easily find runs that have the same kind of forcing.  Eric Nienhouse from NCAR is looking at how to do that and will be sending a follow-up mail.
