Ni Nebojsa,

Note the link I sent in my last email should have been this one to the BADC TDS:
  https://cmip-dn.badc.rl.ac.uk/thredds/esgcet/2/cmip5.output1.MOHC.HadGEM2ES.historical.mon.land.Lmon.r1i1p1.v20110405.xml

This is something that should be answered by the THREDDS interface working group -- one of the working groups that hasn't really got going yet. I believe there is some content on the ESGF wiki about the ESGF flavour of THREDDS XML but I can't reference it now because the server is down (Bob had announced some maintenance). I don't know whether geospatial coverage has been documented.

Stephen.

Subject: [Go-essp-tech] the geospatial coverage of a file

  Stephen,
Only one more thing;
Is there any rule about identifying the elements of the geospatial and
temporal coverage of a file in a catalog?
Are they provided in a related aggregation 8as it is now the case) or in
the dataset (as it was before) or somewhere else?
Thanks
Nebojsa
