[Go-essp-tech] Production TDS

I have spent no time looking at the aggregation datasets. It looks like they should contain 'v' a nd we are wrong. However, the publication-level datasets are named correctly and I don't see where this configured differently.

Bob, could this be an out of date esgcet package on our production datanode?

Stephen.

Hallo Bob,

I found a difference in tds setup between PCMDI and BADC.

On the BADC tds (and as well MPI tds) there is an aggregation of en experiment like this:
cmip5.output1.MOHC.HadGEM2-ES.rcp45.day.atmos.day.r1i1p1.clt.20110113.aggregation<http://cmip-dn.badc.rl.ac.uk/thredds/esgcet/1/cmip5.output1.MOHC.HadGEM2-ES.rcp45.day.atmos.day.r1i1p1.v20110113.html?dataset=cmip5.output1.MOHC.HadGEM2-ES.rcp45.day.atmos.day.r1i1p1.clt.20110113.aggregation>

The same experiment at PCMDI (from an other institute and model) is:
cmip5.output1.INM.inmcm4.rcp45.day.atmos.day.r1i1p1.clt.v20110323.aggregation<http://pcmdi3.llnl.gov/thredds/esgcet/18/cmip5.output1.INM.inmcm4.rcp45.day.atmos.day.r1i1p1.v20110323.html?dataset=cmip5.output1.INM.inmcm4.rcp45.day.atmos.day.r1i1p1.clt.v20110323.aggregation>

There is an additional 'v' inside the version number.

Which is the correct one? It would be much easier to process the information of the tds when the structure is the same!

Thanks in advance
Hans

Hi Martina,

All the CMIP5 datasets with the exception of model bcc-csm1-1 are production. The BCC datasets will be released at the end of the month.

  Hi, Bob, hi, Stephen,

I just had a look at the production TDS':

We want to start with the metadata creation for CIM dataObjects (and CERA for DOI publication process). I guess that there are some test data on these production data nodes as well.

Which data is real production data? (cmip5.output1.MOHC.HadGEM2-ES <http://cmip-dn.badc.rl.ac.uk/thredds/esgcet/1/cmip5.output1.MOHC.HadGEM2-ES.piControl.6hr.atmos.6hrPlev.r1i1p1.v20101129.html> and cmip5.output1.INM.inmcm4 <http://pcmdi3.llnl.gov/thredds/esgcet/18/cmip5.output1.INM.inmcm4.1pctCO2.day.atmos.day.r1i1p1.v20110323.html> ? Other?)
And how can we distinguish between test data and production data?

It would be easier for us, if we move test data to the TDS test data nodes. Is that possible?

Thanks a lot and best wishes,
 Martina
