Hi all,

Some of you might be interested to know that some hooks have now been added into the C NetCDF libraries to enable support for ESG based security. Calls to an ESG secured OPeNDAP server such as the Data Node TDS, can be made by configuring nc_open with a certificate and private key enabling the server to authenticate / authorize the client.

The changes are integrated in the NetCDF development trunk. You can access the latest source from the snapshot:

ftp://ftp.unidata.ucar.edu/pub/netcdf/snapshot/netcdf-4-daily.tar.gz

I have example code if anyone is interested in finding out more.

Cheers,

Phil
