Hi All,

We're  pleased to announce the ESG Gateway 1.1.0 SNAPSHOT.  This version 
has been deployed to the NCAR staging system at the following URL:

http://esg.prototype.ucar.edu

This build includes:

 Replication related features to support ongoing replication development 
and integration work.
 Enabled federation related authentication and authorization services 
(in progress.)
 A number of other bug fixes and improvements.

For more detail, please see release notes below.

The staging system is undergoing testing in support of federated login 
via OpenID.  We're also in the process of enabling and testing 
additional security features such as the SAML based authorization services.

Please note that both the NCAR production and staging systems have had 
recent upgrades to the supporting TDS file servers.  System testing and 
user feedback identified a critical download issue related to 2GB and 
larger HTTP (browser, wget) file downloads.  A rapid turnaround fix was 
created and a TDS version 4.1.6 released to address the problem.
