Hi all,

A more up-to-date spreadsheet with the information on the CMIP5 output 
can be found at:
http://cmip-pcmdi.llnl.gov/cmip5/output_req.html?submenuheader=2#req_list

Actually, the most recent version will be posted shortly and is attached 
to this email.  It includes (among a slew of other information) the long 
name, CF standard name, and realm (is this the same as the mindmap 
component?).  The attached will be posted on the website in .xls and 
.pdf formats too.

I would try to work of this excel workbook, rather than some derivative.
