I set up our ESS Web Team mailing list. Just send mail to  
esswebteam at ucar.edu to email the entire team. Feel free to share  
thoughts and ask questions. That way we can stay in touch and  
collaborate between meetings.

Here are the action items from our last meeting.

Before next meeting, each group rep will:
-create a list of all services your group provides
-create an outline of content you'd like to include in your group's site
-think about how your group should be represented on your own home  
page (what would be a good photo, write one paragraph description of  
group)
-install an HTML editor on your workstation if you don't already have  
one (you can order Dreamweaver through Dorothy if you want)

Markus will create an ESS template and provide training on how to use  
it at the next meeting

Joan will come up with a recommendation for organizing documents,  
procedures, presentations, report.

Other Notes

-"Enterprise" is not well understood by external customers and should  
be changed to something like "Core Services"
- Make home pages useful with clickable links rather than mission  
statement text no one is going to read
-Directory structure for site will be /web/cisl/ess for umbrella  
pages and /web/cisl/dbst for group-specific content (substitute your  
group's acronym)
