Now that we have a name - we can begin...

I have made the initial implementation of the model metadata schema as
presented at the ESP meeting available online via a link on the ESPwiki
http://ndg.nerc.ac.uk/cgi-bin/my-kwiki/index.cgi?ModelMetadataDefinitions or
my www page http://ugamp.nerc.ac.uk/bouton/model_metadata/index.php

>From this page you can
Read the theory
View the DRAFT proposed xml
See a database implementation of the xml
Try a prototype GUI to input metadata

Note - all of these are works in progress so may be broken at any time.

Where we need to go
Well - a lot further, but let's can begin by
1. examining and further defining the numerical properties (See
EarleyComp->NumericalProperties of
http://ugamp.nerc.ac.uk/bouton/model_metadata/xml/earleycomp.xml)
How do we define horizontal, vertical and time. GFDL in particular has
agreed to begin their work here

2. Same for input and output, and managing change

3. Try out what we have on some examples - ie the IPCC runs coming up in
September. CGAM and PCMDI will be looking into this.

4. Start to examine and develop the hierarchy for paramter types/names using
CF and othre sources where we can
