I can make the handshake with globe behind, stand-up to reduction, but I would like folks
come together first on the name.
Attached are the images from Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning, notice that in two of the
images the computer overlays the globe and in the third the opposite arrangement. Notice
how this effects the 'readability' of the image. By 'readable' I mean the ability to
visually parse the image and see 'hands' instead of a 'torch' or the like (sorry Brian).
My only point is that once I know what needs to be done, I can work with the images in a
wide range of ways to make it work visually.

I like it - but without the participant. It's a given, I assume, that you
use the logo, you are a participant.
Shame the reduction loses the globe behind the handshak - I like it behind.
Don't care one way or other about hyphen.
Esp3-part font/color ok
Ps - if we use GOEST we can also have a theme song by the village people, or
was it pet shop boys (I'm dating myself here ...)

up to 3cents now....
I've placed finalists onto Powerpoint slideshows and onto static Web
pages to see how they looked being reduced in size. Still not happy, I
went back to the early icons to see how they handle this. esp3 blends
in well with various backgrounds, and still has detail even when reduced
significantly. It also places the globe in the PC as in individual
entity and looks like something is going on with computers and the earth
(even when reduced). The new ones have a partial globe and when
reduced, it's not apparent what the heck it is....
I also like the participant aspect- and that all members should be
participants.....
..guess I'll get back to work now....
