I would like to recommend that you include "ncBrowse" on your software 
packages page.  ncBrowse can directly access netCDF files and netCDF 
compliant OPeNDAP servers.  ncBrowse has proven to be a very useful 
tool in the development of software that creates and reads netCDF files 
and uses OPeNDAP resources.  ncBrowse provides the user an opportunity 
to create 2- and 3-D browse graphics.

ncBrowse has been extensively testing  with a wide variety of netCDF 
files.
