GFA and USGS are seeking a postdoctoral scholar to analyze a 30-year<br>
archive of shoreline photos from 60+ beaches along the north-central<br>
California coast – none of it previously analyzed for shoreline or<br>
dune change, and run process-based coastal model projections under<br>
sea-level rise scenarios.<br>
<br>
This is a Python and machine learning-heavy role working with<br>
real-world historical imagery and multiple integrated data sources.<br>
The position is co-advised by Dr. Wendy Kordesch (GFA/NOAA) and Dr.<br>
Sean Vitousek (USGS).<br>
<br>
We are looking for someone with strong quantitative and computational<br>
skills and experience with environmental modeling.<br>
