 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">We are seeking a Research
     Engineer (II) or Research Scientist to join a multidisciplinary team of
     seismologists and engineers working on AI-assisted earthquake monitoring
     and seismic data processing.</span></li>
 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">The successful candidate will
     develop an operational software package by integrating, optimizing, and
     validating existing workflows for routine seismic data processing. Beyond
     software development, the candidate will have opportunities to contribute
     to advanced AI algorithms and intelligent systems for earthquake
     detection, processing, early warning, and interpretation.</span></li>
 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">This is a two-year position,
     renewable for up to five years. Based at Nanyang Technological University
     (NTU), Singapore, the candidate will work closely with seismologists and
     seismic-network engineers to support the detection and reporting of local
     earthquakes and to conduct research on earthquake activity across
     Southeast Asia.</span></li>
</ul>

<p style="margin:0in;font-family:Calibri;font-size:14pt"><span style="font-weight:bold">Key Responsibilities</span></p>

<ul type="disc" style="direction:ltr;unicode-bidi:embed;margin-top:0in;margin-bottom:0in">
 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">Integrate and optimize
     existing seismic data-processing workflows into robust operational
     software.</span></li>
 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">Test, validate, document, and
     maintain software packages for research and operational applications.</span></li>
 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">Contribute to the development
     of AI-assisted workflows for earthquake monitoring, detection, warning,
     and interpretation.</span></li>
</ul>

<p style="margin:0in;font-family:Calibri;font-size:14pt"><span style="font-weight:bold">Qualifications and Skills</span></p>

<ul type="disc" style="direction:ltr;unicode-bidi:embed;margin-top:0in;margin-bottom:0in">
 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">Strong programming skills in
     Python and at least one compiled language, such as C, C++, or Fortran.</span></li>
 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">Experience in scientific
     software development, data processing, workflow integration, or system
     deployment.</span></li>
 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">Familiarity with artificial
     intelligence, machine learning, and AI-assisted coding tools is preferred.</span></li>
 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">A background in geophysics,
     computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field is
     preferred.</span></li>
 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">Experience with seismic data,
     signal processing, scientific computing, or operational monitoring systems
     would be advantageous.</span></li>
 <li style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;vertical-align:middle"><span style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:11pt">Strong problem-solving,
     communication, and teamwork skills.</span></li>
</ul>
