both Princeton University faculty and leading scientists at NOAA-GFDL, a preeminent NOAA Laboratory for Earth System Science. The primary criterion for selection is outstanding demonstrated capabilities and future potential in one or more of a wide array of
topics in atmospheric and oceanic sciences. In consultation with their hosts, the selected candidates will have significant flexibility in selecting and pursuing their area of research. The areas of potential focus include, but are not limited to: atmospheric
and oceanic dynamics, clouds and convection, radiative processes, atmospheric chemistry, weather to decadal variability and predictability, including extremes, data assimilation, land processes, geochemical processes, marine ecosystems, machine learning and
artificial intelligence, and high-resolution global to regional modeling. Cross-cutting and interdisciplinary topics are encouraged.

We primarily seek applications from recent Ph.D.s for postdoctoral positions but will accept applications from more experienced researchers. Postdoctoral appointments are initially for one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance
and continued funding. A competitive salary is offered commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact GFDL and Princeton University scientists prior to application. To

making the field more equitable and inclusive. We will therefore take into consideration personal experiences as well as efforts in education, outreach or other service activities related to earth system science or other sciences, which may be described in
a separate section of the research proposal. Applications should be submitted by May 1, 2026, 11:59pm EST, for full consideration. Applicants should apply at https://apply.interfolio.com/183110.
