<div dir="auto">The <a href="https://sites.google.com/view/huleiqiu/home/" target="_blank">Urban Climate Research Lab</a> at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is seeking a motivated Ph.D. student to join the Department of Atmospheric and Earth Science (AES) starting in Fall 2026.<br />
<br />
<strong>The Research: </strong>This funded Graduate Assistantship focuses on project on <strong>urban climate resilience</strong>. The selected candidate will leverage state-of-the-art regional weather modeling simulations and multi-scale climate data to investigate weather extremes interacting with urban environments and their associate impact and mitigations. <br />
<br />
<strong>What We Are Looking For: </strong>We are seeking a candidate with a strong quantitative foundation in Atmospheric Science, Climatology, Statistics, and/or Big Data Analytics.</div>
<ul>
<li><strong>Preferred Degree:</strong> B.S. or M.S. in Atmospheric Science or a related physical science.</li>
<li><strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, R, or MATLAB) is highly desirable.</li>
<li><strong>Communication:</strong> Strong written and verbal English skills are essential for research dissemination.</li>
