will start in Fall 2026 in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM.</span></p>

forecasting to developing stakeholder-driven modeling approaches for complex, transdisciplinary problems such as water allocation optimization and ecosystem restoration in dryland basins. </span></p>

</span><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">The successful candidates will have a bachelor's degree in geology, engineering, or a closely related field and experience or a strong willingness to learn the following
skills: groundwater modeling decision support modeling (MODFLOW/PEST++), programming in python, high performance computing, and scientific writing. In addition, they will have strong communication and organization skills, scientific curiosity, and the ability
to work independently and as part of a team.</span></p>
