<span style="font-size:11.0pt">The first position involves river network modeling of carbon processing, with a focus on methane but will encompass the broader carbon cycle at high latitudes. Co-advisors will be Ryan Sponseller (Professor in Ecosystem Ecology)

<span style="font-size:11.0pt">The second position is in Arctic stream carbon biogeochemistry, and will explore sources and fates of methane in Arctic streams. It will involve a lot of work in the research station in Abisko in northern Sweden, and use a wide
 array of tool such as flux chambers we are developing, isotopes, microbial analysis and much more. This position will interact with the “modelling PhD” as well as multiple PhDs and postdocs working in the aquatic carbon cycle in Abisko with Umeå University.
