      <p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">The successful applicants
          will join a team of scientists implementing an ice-sheet model
          into the next generation km-scale Earth-system model ICON with
          the aim of better understanding atmosphere-ocean-ice sheet
          interactions that contribute to present-day sea-level rise and
          high-latitude climate change. The research is part of <span
            class="spelle">TerraDT</span>, a project within the European
          Commission’s Horizon Europe research infrastructure <span
            class="spelle">programme</span>. <span class="spelle">TerraDT</span>
          aims at improving the descriptions of Earth system components
          in the Destination Earth (<span class="spelle">DestinE</span>)
          climate models. The positions include coupling of an ice-sheet
          with ICON, and conducting and analyzing simulations with the
          model at different stages of the model development. Tasks
          within the project will be distributed among the chosen
          candidates depending on their qualifications and interests.</span></p>
