<p class="MsoNormal">The Division of Natural and Applied Sciences at Loyola University Maryland (LUM) invites applications for two tenure-track assistant professors to support growing programs in data science and environmental science. The new faculty will
form an interdisciplinary cohort focused on increasing the success of women and other underrepresented groups in the STEM fields. Faculty appointments for this cohort will be in the departments of mathematics and statistics, physics, or chemistry and biochemistry.

<p class="MsoNormal">We seek an outstanding candidate with a background in statistics, mathematics, or physics who will teach courses in data science as well as courses in statistics, mathematics, or physics. Courses may include but are not limited to introductory
courses in at least one of these fields as well as upper level and introductory courses in data science. The successful candidate will be able to develop courses that contribute to the data science programs.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We seek an outstanding candidate with a background in the physical sciences or mathematics who will teach courses in environmental science, including an introductory sequence for environmental studies students as well as courses in physics,

appropriate for current and potential environmental studies programs that focus on integral ecology and experiential learning.
