The Department of Geology and Geophysics in the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor in Solid Earth and Planetary Geoscience broadly defined. The anticipated starting
date is Fall 2025.</div>

The successful candidate should address one or more grand challenges in Solid Earth and Planetary Geoscience, including but not limited to topics such as:</div>
<ul style="font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT; margin: 0in 0px 1em; padding-left: 16px; list-style-position: outside; list-style-type: square;">
<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0in;">Formation and evolution of crust and mantle of the Earth and other planetary bodies</li><li style="margin: 0px 0px 0in;">Deep planetary processes and conditions including their linkages to surface processes</li><li style="margin: 0px 0px 0in;">Cycling of volatiles and critical elements</li><li style="margin: 0px 0px 0in;">Fundamental studies of plate boundary processes</li></ul>
<div style="font-family: TimesNewRomanPSMT; margin: 0px 0px 0in;">We welcome experimental, field, computational, or combined approaches to address one or more of these challenges. The successful applicant will lead a vibrant, cutting-edge research program that
should complement existing research strengths of the Department of Geology & Geophysics. We seek outstanding collaborative faculty who are ready to develop multi-disciplinary approaches that address national and international-scale initiatives. </div>
