in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at University of Nebraska-Lincoln is inviting applications for a PhD position in land-atmosphere interactions and climate modeling. The PhD student will work on a recently funded project about land-atmosphere
interactions in flash drought over the US. The research topics include: characterizing flash droughts and conventional droughts in the US using different datasets and metrics; diagnosing the land-surface and atmospheric processes before and during droughts;
and quantifying the land-surface contributions to flash drought development using a novel set of WRF experiments. </span><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
