<span style="color:#000000;font-family:Helvetica">The </span><a style="font-family:Helvetica" href="https://www.albany.edu/asrc" target="_blank">Atmospheric Sciences Research Center (ASRC)</a><span style="color:#000000;font-family:Helvetica"> of the </span><a style="font-family:Helvetica" href="https://www.albany.edu/" target="_blank">University
 at Albany, State University of New York</a><span style="color:#000000;font-family:Helvetica">, seeks to hire two permanent-eligible (equivalent to tenure track) Research Faculty. These New York State supported college-year appointments allow for supplementary
 summer salary from external research funding. Areas of particular interest include hydrology, radar meteorology, and renewable energy (especially solar energy); however, outstanding candidates from other areas of atmospheric science will also be considered.</span><br>
<br>
<span style="font-family:Helvetica">The successful candidates will be expected to pursue and secure funding to support a robust research program and publish their work in scientific peer-reviewed journals. We expect the position to strengthen ASRC and the University
 by maintaining a strong externally funded research program, mentoring graduate students and postdocs, and participating, as necessary, in service to the Center and the University.</span><br>
<span style="font-family:Helvetica">Opportunities exist for successful candidates to exploit ASRC's world class facilities and projects including the </span><span style="color:#813b5f;font-family:Helvetica">NYS Mesonet </span><span style="font-family:Helvetica">and </span><span style="color:#813b5f;font-family:Helvetica">Whiteface
 Mountain Field Station </span><span style="font-family:Helvetica">as well as UAlbany's nation leading </span><span style="color:#813b5f;font-family:Helvetica">AI+ initiative</span><span style="font-family:Helvetica">. </span><br>
<span style="color:#813b5f;font-family:Helvetica">ASRC has access to resources from a number of facilities and projects including the ASRC Mobile Laboratory</span><span style="color:#0000ff;font-family:Helvetica">, </span><span style="color:#813b5f;font-family:Helvetica">xCITE
 Lab</span><span style="color:#0000ff;font-family:Helvetica">, </span><span style="color:#813b5f;font-family:Helvetica">Center of Excellence </span><span style="color:#0000ff;font-family:Helvetica">in Weather and Climate Analytics, and the </span><span style="color:#813b5f;font-family:Helvetica">State
 Weather Risk Communications Center. ASRC maintains collaborative relationships across UAlbany departments and NY State agencies, including the Department of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences (DAES), College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security,
 and Cybersecurity (CEHC), </span><span style="color:#0000ff;font-family:Helvetica">Environmental & Sustainable Engineering</span><span style="color:#813b5f;font-family:Helvetica">, </span><span style="color:#0000ff;font-family:Helvetica">School of Public Health,
 NYS </span><span style="color:#813b5f;font-family:Helvetica">Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES</span><span style="color:#0000ff;font-family:Helvetica">), NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, </span><span style="color:#813b5f;font-family:Helvetica">NYS
 Department of H</span><span style="color:#0000ff;font-family:Helvetica">ealth, and </span><span style="color:#813b5f;font-family:Helvetica">NYS Department of T</span><span style="color:#0000ff;font-family:Helvetica">ransportation.</span><br>
