<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Roboto">This position is part of the RobustSR (Improving the Robustness of Super-Resolution Algorithms to Climate Change and Extreme Events) project, supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation, which aims
to design hybrid statistical-physical methods helping machine learning frameworks generalize to climate change and extreme events. The first PhD project generates spatially-resolved Swiss climate change scenarios that ensure physical consistency and preserve
long-term trends, while the second PhD project downscales medium-range forecasts over Switzerland, including small-scale features ignored by the original forecast.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Roboto">The role offers a CHF 45-50k annual salary, with a renewable one-year contract for up to four years, contingent upon satisfactory yearly reviews. We are looking for someone to start in Fall 2024, with some
