Dear all,

We have an exciting internship with NASA’s GLOBE Program starting this Fall (2024) for 16 weeks. The majority of interns receive a paid stipend award. The application deadline is April 5, 2024, and details are provided
in the following link:

What is the GLOBE Program?

The GLOBE (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment) Program is an international science and education program that focuses on promoting scientific literacy and building connections between people passionate about the
environment. GLOBE has three primary goals: increasing environmental awareness, contributing to increased scientific understanding of the Earth and supporting improved student achievement in science and mathematics. By participating in the GLOBE Program, students,
teachers, researchers, and lifelong learners can connect with the program’s global community.
Since its inception the GLOBE Program has involved over 40,000 schools/informal education organizations contributing to the collection of over 247 million data submissions.

Summary of position:
The intern will be involved in summarizing a range of the GLOBE Programs’ achievements exploring topics relating to science, education, outreach, and diplomacy. Sources include peer-reviewed publications, reports produced by member countries, and thesis. Each
year, students from across the world present their research findings at the International Virtual Student Symposium, and at regional U.S. based Student Research Symposia. These student reports along with data submitted through the GLOBE database will also
serve as resources.

In April 2025, the GLOBE Program will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary, having launched on Earth Day, April 1995. We are eager to share the various achievements of the program with the GLOBE Community. Day-to-day activities of this internship will include
reviewing, digesting, and summarizing content from relevant reports/publications. Condensing that information into a PowerPoint slide, with accompanying notes to explain a high-level overview. Expectations are to meet weekly to communicate progress and facilitate
discussions and findings.

Interested applicants should follow the above link and complete the application process.

Internships are educational hands-on opportunities that provide unique NASA-related research and operational experiences for educators and high school, undergraduate, and graduate students.
