The USDA-ARS in collaboration with the University of Missouri is searching for a postdoctoral research fellow to evaluate climate smart agricultural practices. A full-time position is available located in Columbia,
MO. The position will work in close collaboration with the Long-Term Agro-ecosystem Research (LTAR) network eddy covariance working group.

The LTAR network has deployed eddy covariance towers across the United States but has not fully leveraged the available data. The position entails consolidating the LTAR eddy covariance data and using the data
to evaluate the ability of agricultural lands to sequester carbon and thrive in a changing climate with increasing extreme weather events. This is of critical importance for identifying and promoting mitigation opportunities to reduce overall US agricultural
carbon footprint while also increasing productivity and building resilience to climate change. This position will work closely with a second post-doctoral candidate at Archibold Biological Station (https://archbold-station.org/)
who is focused on the carbon balance of US grazing lands.

This position is grant funding dependent, and there is support for a two-year position. The initial postdoctoral appointment, will be for one year, and will be renewable depending on available work, continued
funding, and performance.
