<span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif;color:#323A45">QUALIFICATIONS: The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. (post-doctoral experience is preferred) and demonstrated teaching and research experience in soil or sediment biogeochemistry,
sediment transport and/or pollution, or a closely related field within a science-based program. Successful hires in this position should be able to provide instruction in at least one (and preferably two) of the following areas: introductory soil science,
wetland soils, soil and water conservation, environmental pedology, soil genesis and classification, and the fate and transport of contaminants. Skills that include the application of molecular tools, geochemical analyses focusing on organic pollutants (PAHs,
chlorinated solvents, MTBEs), inorganic and environmental tracers (e.g. isotopes, CFCs, noble gases), soil microbiology, and modeling of sediment transport and/or the fate of contaminants will be advantageous. Successful candidates must be committed to working
effectively with diverse student populations and in interdisciplinary teams.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
