The course focuses on water as a unifying theme and crosses disciplinary boundaries in biology, chemistry, environmental sciences and physics. This multidisciplinary, lab-based science course is designed for undergraduates to fulfill the university science-lab requirement as part of their university graduation requirements. The course is designed for non-science majors, and currently serves<br>600-700 students per year.<br><br>The successful candidate will be responsible for two lecture and two lab sections, per semester, as well as supervising graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants. This position is non-tenure track and is annually renewable; a multi-year appointment is potentially available after the second year, with the potential for further advancement in rank. Requirements include a graduate degree in natural or physical sciences and the applicant should have substantial teaching experience with general education students, as well as experience in laboratory and/or field instruction, and<br>curriculum development. The applicant should be experienced with student-centered and inquiry-based approaches to science teaching. Salary is competitive and dependent on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
