Atmospheric Science program has experienced growth in both students and research productivity over the past 5-10 years, and we are in the final approval stages for offering a new undergraduate degree in Earth System Science. The program maintains several instrument
platforms used for research and education that any new hire would be able to access: a S-band polarimetric radar, mobile Doppler wind lidar system, microwave radiometer, lidar ceilometer, and radiosonde systems. We are also leading the deployment and management
of a state mesonet with 50 initial stations across Louisiana.
