New York is beginning a state-funded State Weather Risk Communication Center (SWRCC) to help serve the state's governmental weather needs, located at the University at Albany in NY. </div>

Most NY agencies and authorities do not possess hired meteorologists, which makes the process of preparing for-, responding to-, and examining impactful weather events challenging. This position will work to fill this gap and will contribute to the greater
