<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">The Deputy Executive Director of Conservation works closely with the Deputy Executive Director of Operations, and the Executive Director (ED) to manage chapter affairs and respond to opportunities and challenges and serve
as a proxy in professional settings where designated by the ED. The Deputy Executive Director oversees the conservation and government relations departments comprised of more than 55 staff, including four direct reports, and a $10M budget. The Deputy Executive
Director sits on the Executive Leadership Team in Florida. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">The Deputy Executive Director oversees all aspects of conservation, science, stewardship and government relations for The Nature Conservancy in Florida and plays an active role in establishing and managing the conservation

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">The Deputy Executive Director sets and meets strategic conservation goals and objectives in FL and the Southern Division. They serve as the principal contact to government agencies, other conservation organizations,
foundations, and the academic community. They persuasively convey the mission of TNC to diverse groups including key legislators, government officials and others who are critical to the Conservancy’s overall public funding strategies. Frequent travel domestically,
evening and weekend hours may be required. This role may work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, and under physically demanding circumstances.
