I am pleased to announce an open position in the newly formed Remote Sensing Data Analysis Section at the California Air Resources Board. This section will be responsible for collecting, managing, and analyzing methane plume detections
obtained through remote sensing from satellites and aircraft. Methane is a potent greenhouse gas and mitigating these unintended leaks will be critical to solving our climate crisis.

the satellite observational tasking configurations to ensure the most effective coverage of California’s areas of interest. The candidate should ideally be able to compile, manage and manipulate geospatial datasets using GIS tools and geospatial libraries,
as well as develop and implement interactive web-based mapping tools.
