<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white;vertical-align:baseline"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#494949;mso-ligatures:none">The Environmental Science Division at the Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to model and analyze
convective clouds and its interactions with environmental factors including aerosols and urbanization with field measurements and models across scales.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white;vertical-align:baseline"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#494949;mso-ligatures:none">In this role you will lead model simulations of convective clouds and mesoscale convective systems at high-resolution with
both regional and global models, evaluation of model simulations of clouds, aerosols, and aerosol-cloud interactions, and examination of how environmental factors such as anthropogenic aerosols and urbanization influence clouds, precipitation, and climate.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white;vertical-align:baseline"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#494949;mso-ligatures:none">Anticipated responsibilities include performing model simulations at high resolutions, analyzing model results and observational
datasets, incorporating model development, and publishing research results. The project will be conducted in close collaboration with scientists within a large team.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white;vertical-align:baseline"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#494949;mso-ligatures:none">This appointment is for two years, renewable for up to three years pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
