<p class="MsoNormal">I am looking for a postdoc to join our group at the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) for a project using chemistry ionization mass spectrometry (CIMS) and thermal desorption techniques ('FIGAERO', 'VIA') to investigate the chemistry
of organic aerosol particles.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The main task is targeted lab experiments, combined with modeling-supported analysis. We also have several exciting field and international chamber campaigns coming up (focusing on biomass burning, VCPs and aqueous SOA chemistry) that the
work can tie into.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Although the project is primarily experimental, interest in applying advanced analysis and simple modeling methods is very welcome.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The position is part of the VILMA project (Virtual laboratory for molecular level atmospheric transformations,
<a href="https://www.helsinki.fi/en/researchgroups/vilma">https://www.helsinki.fi/en/researchgroups/vilma</a>), which besides UEF, involves Tampere University, Aalto University and the University of Helsinki. With 10 PIs in atmospheric as well as computer science,
it provides collaborations between molecular-level atmospheric science work and new research in AI methods.<o:p></o:p></p>
