(UH-Hilo) invites applications for a one-year temporary non-tenure track
 faculty position as an Instructor or Assistant Professor.  Appointment 
to begin approximately January 2024, pending position clearance and

 UH-Hilo geology department offers bachelor’s degrees in geology, with 
specialties in volcanology and environmental geology. The Department of 
Geology houses teaching laboratories in petrology, a geoarchaeology lab 
with a ThermoNoran Quant’X EDXRF; faculty also have access to facilities
 housed in the UH-Hilo Analytical Laboratory, the UH-Hilo Spatial Data 
and Analysis Laboratory, and potentially facilities and equipment housed

 a variety of undergraduate courses, including introductory geology and 
introductory labs, introduction to earthquakes and volcanoes, 
introduction to environmental geology, and upper division elective
