<span style="font-family:Calibri, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12pt" class="ContentPasted5">Aerosols are particularly important in the atmosphere because they have masked a large but highly uncertain fraction of global warming, via their direct effect of
reflecting incoming solar radiation and indirect effect of serving as seeds for cloud formation. Our lab’s mission is to learn (and have fun) as much as we can about aerosol particle formation and its impact on air quality and climate change. Specifically,
we leverage interdisciplinary expertise in atmospheric chemistry and aerosol microphysics to understand how particle formation drives urban smog, how aerosol forcing will change in future emission scenarios, and how aerosol dynamics can inform climate intervention
