the field of environmental and industrial hygiene is available with scientific advisement
of Dr. Yevgen Nazarenko. The Ph.D. program will be in the Division of
Environmental & Industrial Hygiene, Department of Environmental &
Public Health Sciences, College of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati.
The successful candidate will work on two or more research projects to
investigate the exposure and health effects of occupational and environmental
contaminants indoors and outdoors, remediation of particulate and gaseous air
toxics, personal protective equipment, development and applications of novel sorbents
and filtration materials for air purification, and occupational health and
safety motivation.</span></p>

degree in chemistry, physics, biology, engineering, environmental science, exposure
science, industrial hygiene, public health, or a related field. The candidate
should have experience working in a laboratory and/or the field, a background
in one or more of the following: environmental sampling and analysis, materials
science, exposure assessment, environmental or analytical chemistry, aerosol
science, bioaerosols, nanotechnology and nanosafety, ambient air pollution,
indoor air pollution, epidemiology, or a related field. The candidate should
also have excellent scientific writing skills, verbal communication skills, as
well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively.</span></p>
