<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Dr. Antonia Sebastian and I are currently searching for a post-doc to work on a project analyzing (in)equity in flood exposure, mitigation funding, and recovery. This project is funded by the Department of
Homeland Security’s Coastal Resilience Center, based at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The post-doc is expected to conduct research on equity in flood and disaster risk in the US. Specifically, their research will examine how flood exposure, mitigation investments, and recovery funds are distributed
across populations and geographies. They will be expected to contribute to several manuscripts through research design, data collection and analysis, writing, project management, and mentorship of students. Selected candidate will be able to engage with intellectual
opportunities across UNC and, if desired, may also gain teaching experience.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">The candidate must hold a PhD in environmental studies/sciences, geography, public policy, city and regional planning, engineering, or related discipline. Experience conducting research related to climate
risks and/or adaptation is essential. Successful candidates will also demonstrate strong training in quantitative analysis and statistical approaches along with knowledge of research design.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
