<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Roboto;color:#333333">We seek a creative and inspiring educator to join our teaching faculty. The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses in environmental studies and geology and, ideally, to serve as
the department’s Geochemistry Teaching Laboratory supervisor/coordinator. Course assignments may include Earth’s Environments (GEOL 103) and other environmental courses, depending on the needs of the department and the qualifications of the successful applicant.
The Geochemistry Teaching Laboratory is a shared-use facility with a broad suite of instrumentation (<a href="https://eps.utk.edu/research/facilities_geochemistry.php"><span style="font-family:inherit;color:#2577A6">https://eps.utk.edu/research/facilities_geochemistry.php</span></a>).
The successful applicant will be expected to supervise safe laboratory use, including its chemical hygiene plans, safety and training documentation, and waste management, as well as maintain equipment, provide familiarization training to new users, including
students and faculty advisors, and coordinate equipment use for department members engaging in teaching courses and research activities. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
