<div>The Grantham Institute is looking for candidates to join our dynamic institute dedicated to effective action on climate change and the environment, in a key collaboration with one of the participating departments (listed in the job description). Two Lecturer/Senior
Lecturer positions are available. One of the appointees will have a proven track record in the field of ‘Cleantech’, the other will have expertise within the broad field of Climate Change and the Environment. During the initial three years, the lectureships
will be based at the Grantham Institute before formally transferring to an appropriate academic Department at Imperial.</div>

<div class="elementToProof">Imperial is seeking an outstanding Co-Director to join the management team of the Grantham Institute. Working alongside the current Co-Director, Professor Ralf Toumi, the new Co-Director will:</div>
<div> Develop and lead the next five-year research strategy of the Institute;</div>
<div> Develop and lead their own research programme in their home department, contribute to Department teaching etc;</div>
<div> Ensure policy and decision makers are influenced by targeted scientific advice at local, national and international levels;</div>
<div> Foster research collaborations across the College as a basis for new, inter-disciplinary projects;</div>
<div> Raise the academic profile of the Institute, and its research, by building close relations with the UK, European and global energy research community, and its sponsors;</div>
<div> Ensure the Grantham Institute contributes to the mission of the College and is financially sound;</div>
<div> Provide leadership on fundraising, including developing and maintaining good relations with the Grantham Foundation; and</div>
<div> Engage with the members of the Advisory Board and other external partners, through both formal meetings and less formal exchanges, to enlist their help and support in driving forward the mission of the Institute.</div>

<div class="elementToProof">In addition, working in a relevant Department, as a Professor, the Co-Director will undertake activities such as:

<div> Attract high levels of sustained research income;</div>
<div> Carry out original research at highest international standing;</div>
<div> Teach and examine courses at all levels – undergraduate, masters, higher research degrees/ PhD – through lectures, seminars, tutorials, course work, training and PhD supervision;</div>
<div> Undertake departmental leadership roles and management duties, as required.</div>
