at New Mexico State University invites applications for a 9-month Tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 14, 2023. We seek a geoscientist to fulfill our curricular needs in physical geology, mineralogy, optical mineralogy, and petrology
at the undergraduate and graduate levels. New Mexico State University is located in the southern Rio Grande rift, with ample and easy access to many geologic phenomena. Our department is committed to excellence in field- and lab-based research and education,
much of which is focused on tectonic systems of the Southwestern U.S. The successful candidate is expected to establish an externally funded research program in mineralogy, petrology, and/or related foci. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. at the time of appointment.<b>
