Visiting Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies to teach courses in
climate change and hydrology for the 2023-24 academic year. The successful
candidate will teach the following courses (1-2 sections of each, for a total
6-course teaching load) – Introduction to Global Climate Change (our natural
science introduction to the Environmental Studies program), Hydrology, and an
upper division elective in their area of expertise. Visiting assistant
professors at Colorado College receive competitive salaries, benefits, and
professional development opportunities. Colorado College is a private,
undergraduate, selective liberal arts institution enrolling approximately 2,200
students. One distinguishing feature of Colorado College is the Block Plan, in
which professors teach, and students take, one course at a time. Each block is
three and a half weeks long, allowing for unique teaching and learning
strategies. Professors teach six of the eight blocks in an academic year. The
Block Plan lends itself to field and project-based teaching, and funds and
logistical support for such projects are available through the College and
through the Environmental Studies program. </span><span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Calibri,sans-serif;color:black">Open until filled but application review begins
