<b>Research Scientist</b> at the Cooperative Institute of Satellite Earth System Studies (CISESS) to work with the Atmospheric Transport and Dispersion modeling group at ARL in the NOAA Center for Weather & Climate Prediction (NCWCP) in College Park, MD.</span></div>

<b>evaluating and improving the transport and dispersion modeling of wildfire emissions, including multi-day fire behavior and propagation, emissions speciation, plume rise, and atmospheric fate and transport processes of emitted pollutants</b>. The ideal candidate
will have experience in wildfire research and be familiar with the <b>HYSPLIT atmospheric transport and dispersion model</b> and/or other comparable models. The Research Scientist will be expected to publish the results of their research in high-quality, peer-reviewed
journals, and make professional presentations at conferences, seminars, and other internal NOAA meetings. The incumbent is also expected to collaborate with other GMU researchers, as well as NOAA Air Resources Laboratory researchers in carrying out this wildfire
R&D. </span></div>
