The successful candidate would utilize the extensive existing datasets, new data, and ocean carbon modeling to explore topics relating to the oceanic uptake of atmospheric CO2 and changes in large scale ocean circulation. </div><div> </div><div>2) <b>Methane Isotopes.</b> The radiocarbon signatures of methane in hydrothermal fluids, continental aquifers, groundwater wells, and natural springs can be a powerful way to track the source and formation pathway of this important volatile. The successful candidate would construct a system to extract and analyze radiocarbon (14C) and stable carbon (13C) in methane from aqueous samples.</div></div><div><br></div><div>For more information and to apply, please see: <a href="https://careers-whoi.icims.com/jobs/1903/postdoctoral-investigator/job?hub=8&mobile=false&width=1090&height=500&bga=true&needsRedirect=false&jan1offset=-300&jun1offset=-240">https://careers-whoi.icims.com/jobs/1903/postdoctoral-investigator/job?hub=8&mobile=false&width=1090&height=500&bga=true&needsRedirect=false&jan1offset=-300&jun1offset=-240</a></div><div><br></div><div>Applicants will be considered until the position is filled.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks,</div><div>Roberta</div><br>
