<b>Professional Research Assistant Position, Knapp Lab, Florida
State University</b><br>

The Knapp lab is hiring a full-time Professional Research Assistant
to support research<br>
activities including an NSF-funded project investigating how
submarine groundwater<br>
discharge (SGD) delivers important nutrients including dissolved
organic nitrogen and<br>
iron to the coastal ecosystems of the West Florida Shelf. The annual
position is funded<br>
and renewable for three years.<br>
<br>
Responsibilities will include inorganic and organic nutrient
concentration measurements,<br>
as well as measurements of nitrate and dissolved organic nitrogen
(DON) stable isotopic<br>
composition using the denitrifier method. Additional
responsibilities will include lab<br>
management, training of new lab personnel, and maintaining the
stable isotope lab<br>
facilities. Travel and field work opportunities may be available.
Familiarity with nutrient<br>
concentration and/or isotopic analyses, oceanographic field work,
and/or familiarity<br>
running an isotope ratio mass spectrometer are desirable but not
required.<br>

Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience. Review of

flexible. A successful<br>
candidate is expected to have an undergraduate degree in a related
field. A Masters or<br>
Ph.D. in a related field is desirable but not a prerequisite for the
