<b>Mineral Systems</b>. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2023. The successful candidate is eligible to be named the W.M. Keck Chair in Geology for a five-year term, which will

Applicants must have earned a PhD in geology, Earth or planetary sciences, or a closely related discipline, with a clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and enhance
our existing <a href="https://www.es.utoronto.ca/people/faculty/">departmental strengths</a>. We invite applicants pursuing innovative and impactful research on any aspect of mineral systems, including field-based, experimental or data-science-oriented approaches
that explore how Earth's mineral systems evolve and interact with the geo- and/or biosphere. Possible areas of specialization may include, but are not limited to, mineral exploration (especially critical minerals important to green energy and sustainability),
mineral records of igneous and metamorphic evolution, fluid-rock interactions, biomineralogy and environmental mineralogy. Candidates will have an established international reputation and will be expected to sustain and lead innovative and independent research
at the highest international level and to maintain an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program.</span><o:p></o:p></span></p>
