<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">The Energy Resilience Unit is a new team within the R&D Division. The team will lead the development and implementation of the
</span><a href="https://www.energy.ca.gov/event/workshop/2022-08/staff-workshop-kickoff-development-community-energy-resilience-investment"><span style="color:#0563C1">Community Energy Resilience Investment (CERI) program</span></a><span style="color:black">.
 The CERI program was initiated in </span>response to the Department of Energy’s funding opportunity on “Preventing Outages and Enhancing the Resilience of the Electric Grid Formula Grants to States and Tribes,” authorized through the Infrastructure Investment
 and Jobs Act. CERI is a competitive grant program that will invest in projects across California that increase community energy resilience and reliability, promote decarbonization of the energy system, improve energy justice and equity, and create good-paying
 jobs. Under-resourced communities and communities with critical energy resilience needs will be prioritized in the program.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">Desirable qualifications for the Supervisor position include candidates with technical knowledge of grid reliability and resilience technologies and activities such as grid hardening and distributed energy resources;
 expertise in designing and implementing programs centered on energy justice, equity, and workforce development and labor; ability to foster a high-morale, collaborative, and productive work environment; ability to present to and engage with a diverse set of
 stakeholders; strong writing and editorial skills; ability to manage multiple priorities; and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</span><span style="color:#0563C1">
