or full professor).

With a bold new strategic vision of “Bright Minds, Brilliant Cities,” MCECS is growing in many innovative ways. Honesty, integrity, and respect for others, as well as expanding opportunities for social

For this position, we seek candidates with a research focus in one or more of the following areas: macroscale hydrology; water resources/water quality management at the watershed and larger scales; and/or river/estuary/coast
systems. Familiarity with advanced concepts and tools such as remote sensing, “big data,” machine learning, AI, and FLOPS-intensive computer modeling are of particular interest. Research efforts that consider the effects of climate change are viewed as especially
important. A major PSU advantage regarding EWR study in the above areas is the fact that Portland is the center for management of the Columbia River Basin, which extends over nearly 700,000 square kilometers and involves seven states and the Canadian province
of British Columbia.
