seek a post-doctoral scholar to collate and analyze a suite of long-term stream
and lake monitoring data collected primarily on Isle Royale National Park
(Michigan) and Grand Portage Lake Superior Chippewa lands (Minnesota). The
ideal candidate has interest and proven ability to manage, QA/QC and analyze
large stream chemical and hydrologic datasets, and a passion for long-term
datasets and how they inform an understanding of our changing climate. The
motivation for the collection of these datasets is twofold: i) The locations
offer benchmark data for baseline studies of changes in climate and atmospheric
deposition, and ii) Monitoring of climate change variables with little
confounding by humans. The position involves working with multiple agency
stakeholders, including Isle Royale National Park, Michigan Tech University and
The Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
