<p class="MsoNormal">Our group uses sedimentary provenance and geo+thermochronology to study landscape exhumation and evolution. Current projects are focused on novel methods development and applications in the eastern Himalaya, southern Appalachians and lower
Colorado River, though new field areas are welcome. Students will have access to equipment for fission-track, (U-Th)/He and (U-Th)/Pb dating as well as a wide range of surface science and microscopy techniques (e.g. Raman, SEM, TEM) through the Georgia Tech
Materials Characterization Facility. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Prior experience with geo+thermochronology, mass spectrometry, ultra-high vacuum systems, computerized microscopy, image processing, and/or machine learning is a plus. Coding experience in python, Java, and/or Matlab is preferred.</p>
